Large numbers of Herero and Ovambo people moved southwards to Namibia and, by the 1800s, the Damara, Herero, and Ovambo were the largest ethnic groups in the country. Since then the water has spilt over their walls on three occasions. However, most of the country has rainfall that is too low or erratic for reasonable chance of successful establishment. The above background provides an idea of why your help, as a medical volunteer in Namibia, can be of value. The senate of the University of Namibia has approved the curriculum for the country's first medical school. It narrowly lost the main opposition role (partly due to early alleged financial links with white South Africa) to the new (formed in March 1999) Congress of Democrats (CoD) in the 1999 elections. Apart from constructing houses, the NHE has also been involved in servicing land in a number of local authority areas, resulting in a total investment in service infrastructure of about N$145 million (about US$10.23 million) between 2006 and 2012.

The first missionaries arrived in 1978, and the first branch (a small congregation) was organized in Windhoek in 1983, with Dieter Greiner as the first branch president. The last option is to use the Niger River to get most famously from Mopti to Timbuktu/Gao. With a cold ocean current offshore, practically no natural conditions exist to produce any form of precipitation. It is your responsibility to check with the High Commission of the Republic of Namibia and its consulates for up-to-date information. People are discouraged by social services from giving children and mother-with-baby beggars money, as there are a number of children's homes available and giving them money keeps them on the street and often feeds a drug or drinking habit.
