We are concerned for the well-being and preservation of literary magazines and small publishers. Steampunk is the idea of future technology in the past. Since today's robots are typically found in industrial setting doing mindlessly repetitive work, this is a strangely appropriate term. Why do I read science fiction and fantasy? I read some reviews on them, and they seem to have some strange things going on. It isn’t until past the first hundred pages or so I believe that the soft science fiction aspect of the story comes into play.

As our culture approaches its limit, we watch the space shuttle come apart before our eyes, once for real, again and again on the reruns. A reasonable policy would allow individuals to handle alien contact on a case-by-case basis, not impose some idiotic, inflexible law that leads to Starfleet personnel being abused by the aliens that the Prime Directive is supposedly protecting.
